Malocclusion
Malocclusion is when the teeth do not fit together normally, due to the upper and lower jaws not being proportionate to each other, or not being positioned correctly
Class 2 malocclusion (overbite) is when the lower teeth are positioned too far behind the upper teeth. This is usually due to the lower jaw being too small.
Class 3 malocclusion (underbite) is when the upper teeth are positioned behind the lower teeth. This is usually due to the upper jaw being too small, or the lower jaw being too large
Anterior openbite is when the front teeth do not close all the way. This is usually due to the back teeth (molars) touching too early when the jaws are closing.
Vertical maxillary excess (gummy smile) is when too much of the upper teeth and gums are visible when smiling. This is usually due to the upper jaw being too long.
Treatment
